Welcome to YOM created by an Indie Artist
The struggle between indie labels and major labels is a huge dynamic in the music world, especially for emerging artists. While it is true that the major labels can offer extensive resources for marketing, distribution, and tours, the catch is that the artist often ends up with far less control and a much smaller portion of the profits due to contracts like 360 Deals. Royalties can seem like something we talk about but rarely ever see.
YOM, on the other hand, offers more creative freedom and a better financial deal for our artists. It is true that to a degree indie labels have more limited resources than the massive marketing budgets of major labels but with word of mouth, our industry liaisons, contacts with a global reach, along with building a dedicated fan base, and strong grassroots marketing campaign our approach are often just the driving forces needed behind the success for our indie artists.
Our artists are truly our partners and the reason why we do what we do.
Let's face it we love music and most of us can not envision doing anything else. We love what we do!
So here we are, a disruptive label with major distribution setting out to change the norm and give indie artists a chance to be heard and loved.
